Scholarship and academic record
My undergraduate tuition was fully funded for all eight semesters through Kathford International College's Merit (Jehendar) Scholarship, administered under Tribhuvan University guidelines.
Academic consistency
I completed the B.Sc. CSIT in 2026 with 85.14% aggregate, Distinction, scoring above 80% in every semester. Tribhuvan University awards Distinction at 80% or above in aggregate.
How the scholarship was awarded
The first semester's full tuition waiver was based on the TU Institute of Science and Technology entrance examination: I held the highest entrance rank among male students admitted to Kathford's B.Sc. CSIT program in my admission cycle.
The awards for semesters II–VIII were determined separately from the preceding semester's university examination results. I ranked first among male students in my Kathford B.Sc. CSIT cohort in each of semesters I–VII, earning seven subsequent full tuition waivers.
These are rankings within my college cohort. The entrance-based award and subsequent merit awards together covered the full tuition for my four-year degree.
Further recognition
Kathford awarded me academic books for seven consecutive semesters and formally recognized me as the best-performing student in its B.Sc. CSIT program for my second year of study.
Scholarship policy and sources
Kathford publicly names the Merit Scholarship (Jehendar). Its IT student scholarship policy describes entrance-based selection for semester I and awards based on the preceding semester’s results for semesters II–VIII.
The TU/IOST Scholarship Guidelines, 2079 B.S., Chapter 2, Sections 3(c)–(d) and 6(b)–(c), address selection, separate male/female places and fee provisions for affiliated colleges. TU also provides the guidelines with subsequent amendments.
These institutional sources explain the scholarship scheme; they are not individual award certificates. My individual award history is confirmed by Kathford’s Certificate of Scholarship and Academic Achievement, issued on 18 September 2026, signed by the principal and bearing the college seal. It confirms the eight full tuition waivers, college-scoped rankings, academic books and second-year recognition. The original certificate is retained privately because it includes student identifiers and a signature.
